Overseas Young Chinese Forum (OYCF) was established in 1999 to provide a forum for the overseas Chinese scholars, graduate students and professionals to exchange views on issues concerning China and China’s relations with the world, and to develop common aspirations among its members. It is an inclusive, non-partisan and non-profit organization that advocates voluntarism and cultivates the members’ continuing interest in the developments in China and in China’s relationship with the world. All OYCF activities, including annual meeting, are conducted in either Chinese or English, at its members’ discretion.
OYCF funding comes from tax-deductible donations from its members, other individuals, businesses, and from university and foundation grants. OYCF does not receive funding from any government sources.
OYCF Membership is voluntary, with an annual fee of $50 for working professionals, and $20 for students.
Membership Eligibility: Anyone who has received education or has lived, for one year or more, in both China and overseas, is eligible for membership in the OYCF.
